Head-on smash

A CRANBOURNE man and Berwick woman were both involved in a head-on collision in Officer yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
A 31-year-old male from Cranbourne and 43-year-old female from Berwick were both airlifted to The Alfred hospital after they sustained life-threatening injuries.
A young boy around pre-school age was also involved and taken to the Royal Children’s hospital with minor injuries.
The accident, which occurred on the Old Princes Highway around 9.40am, was said to have happened after a car travelled in the wrong direction.
The woman who was with the boy, was trapped inside the vehicle for at least an hour after the crash.
