A LOCAL resident heard an explosion before finding a deliberately lit fire at a medium strip in Botanic Ridge on Monday.
Police said about 3.30am on Monday morning, a resident heard a car drive past and then a loud bang.
The person went to inspect outside and found bushes in the medium strip of Botanic Ridge Boulevard on fire.
The CFA attended and extinguished the blaze, which police are treating as suspicious.
The fire spread about 20 metres along the medium strip.
