TWO men who robbed a youth in Narre Warren on Friday are beloved to have been involved in pursuit with police the same day.
Two men approached youths at the skate park at Ray Bastin Reserve in Narre Warren about 3.30pm.
One of the men told one of the children to put his bag on the ground, before he grabbed it and they ran off and left in a white van.
The bag contained a mobile phone, wallet and some other personal items.
A short time after, the same van was involved in a pursuit with police in Greaves Road, Narre Warren South.
Police terminated the pursuit after the driver went onto the wrong side of the road.
The van, which police later found to have been stolen and had stolen number plates, was located vacant in Silverbirch Court, Narre Warren South.
The men were described as of Middle Eastern appearance and were wearing hoodies and baseball caps.
