Name that brings fame

CASEY residents have the chance to be a part of local history by naming the new cultural precinct.
The council is running a naming competition and is calling on the community to submit names for the Casey Cultural Precinct before it closes on Friday.
Since the competition started in January, the council has already received hundreds of entries.
The winner of the naming competition will make history by naming the new precinct and will then star in a video with comedian Ben Price to announce it.
The prize also includes the opportunity to attend the VIP opening of the precinct in 2017.
City of Casey mayor Geoff Ablett said there was still time to submit entries.
“One creative individual, or perhaps an entire school class, sporting club or community group, has the opportunity to make history by suggesting the winning name,” he said.
“The Casey Cultural Precinct will be the place for the community to share in art, culture, entertainment and recreation and we are looking for a name that represents its many purposes and what it means to the community.”
To enter the competition visit www.caseyculturalprecinct.com.au or you can do so at City of Casey Customer Service Centres in Narre Warren, Narre Warren South or Cranbourne.
