Fields feel for Meadows

DEVON Meadows Primary School students hopped, skipped and jumped their way around Casey Fields last month for the school’s annual athletics day.
Students and teachers competed in their house colours in a range of events on Wednesday 26 February, with yellow house going home the victors.
Assistant principal Brendan McDonough said all enjoyed a a great day.
“It was a great opportunity for all students to compete at a world class facility,” he said.
“Students were given an opportunity to compete in long jump, triple jump, discus, shot put and all of the track events.
“The staff relay team just managed to hold off a fast finishing students’ relay team.
“There was even time for a toddlers’ race on the day.”
