McHappy McHippies

CASEY residents have helped bring a smile to the faces of seriously ill children through their support for McHappy Day.
Cranbourne and Hampton Park residents collectively raised $12,540 as part of McDonald’s fundraising event last month.
All money raised, which was more than $3 million across the country, will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities to provide much needed support for it to expand its programs and help seriously ill children and their families.
In addition to raising funds, volunteers from the community played a big role on the day with fire brigades, police and local businesses giving up time to help collect donations or provide items to be raffled for fundraising.
McDonald’s Hampton Park licensee Ian Seal thanked the community for its support.
“I want to thank the Cranbourne and Hampton Park community for all their efforts and for getting behind McHappy Day to help raise valuable funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities,” he said.
“The funds come just in time for the festive season and will allow us not only to continue offering our current range of programs, but will also allow us to expand our programs and services.”
