IT WILL be lights, camera, action in Lynbrook this weekend with the annual Christmas themed moonlit cinema event.
The Lynbrook Resident’s Association (LRA) is hosting a free outdoor screening of Rise of the Guardians in Banjo Paterson Park on Saturday night from 7pm.
Before the movie, Santa will arrive with his elves and will lead Christmas carols with local entertainer Jessie Asadur.
Vanessa Watson, from the LRA, is encouraging the community to come along and join in the fun.
“This year’s Christmas Lynbrook Moonlight Cinema will be a great event because it’s an opportunity for local families and friends to get together and get in the Christmas spirit,” she said.
“The Rise of the Guardians is a wonderful family movie that will be sure to entertain one and all.”
“Bring the family down to the picturesque Banjo Paterson Park and enjoy the lead up to Christmas in style.”
Members of the LRA will be manning the barbecue and selling popcorn and fairy floss and there will be a free kids’ jumping castle.
There will also be coffee and ice cream vans.
Gates will open at 7pm, with the movie to start about 8.30pm.
People are encouraged to bring an FM radio to tune into the audio, or they are available to buy or rent one from the LRA on the night.
