Man linked to two break-ins

POLICE are on the hunt for a burglar linked to two early morning break-ins at Cranbourne.
At 3.50am last Thursday, video surveillance showed a man driving a small dark car up to Video Ezy on Thompsons Road in Cranbourne North.
The man then got out of the car and threw a brick through the front glass door.
He then tried to take the plasma screen off the wall but left without stealing anything after it appears he was unable to remove the television. He was described as Caucasian, between 17 and 20 years old and wearing a hooded windcheater and white gloves.
Police have linked the man with a burglary that happened on the same day at the Brookland Greens Childcare Centre.
A staff member approached the building at 6am and heard noises coming from the toilet area before seeing a man run across the backyard.
He then jumped the fence of the Ferndown Drive centre in Cranbourne and got into a small dark car.
A rear window to the toilets had been opened but nothing was stolen. The man matched the previous description and was also said to have been tall with short, dark hair and clean cut.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Senior Constable Ray Ross at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
