THE Hampton Park CFA was called to a grassfire in Hampton Park on Tuesday after long grass on a private property caught alight.
A brigade spokesperson said the fire began about 4.30pm and spread quickly.
A neighbour tried to tackle the flames with a shovel but the brigade soon attended and brought the blaze under control.
