Seasons sounds to fill the air

THERE’s nothing like the sounds of Christmas carols to get revellers into the festive spirit.
And with plenty of carols events on offer around Cranbourne this month, people can do just that.
A number of organisations are holding Christmas carol events to give people the opportunity to celebrate Christmas with the community.
The Australian Welsh Male Choir, Casey Choir, Cranbourne Chorale and Mornington Peninsula Chorale will combine to present a concert on Friday 6 December from 8pm at the River Gum Performing Arts Centre.
Each choir will present a 15 minute item and then all singers will combine to perform four huge numbers with more than 150 voices and a brass ensemble.
Tickets cost $20 on presale, or $25 at the door and can be purchased at www.trybooking.com/DTGK.
For more information call Jennie on 5998 7485 or 0417 567 125.
The Cranbourne Community Carols, hosted by the Cranbourne Presbyterian Church and St John’s Anglican Church, will be held on Sunday 15 December from 7pm at Pressy Park, corner of Russell Street and Childers Street.
Community acts will perform from 7 to 8pm, and then Christmas carols will kick off at 8pm.
For more information call 5996 3251.
TurningPoint Church is holding its 10th annual Christmas Carnival and Christmas Carols event on 22 December from 4pm to 9pm at Lawson Poole Reserve, Cranbourne.
The free event will include an animal farm, plenty of rides for children, food and drinks, Christmas carols starting at 8pm and finishing with a fireworks display at 9pm.
