Baker steps up for Eagles’ top job

CRANBOURNE Football Club has a new president to lead it into the future after Shane Baker was elected club leader at the Eagles’ AGM on Monday night.
Baker replaces out-going president Gerry Kelly and will lead a new-look board after Danny Mulqueen also relinquished his role as general manager of the club.
Additions to the board include Luke King (events and marketing), Alan Courtney (football department), Glenn Weir (communications) and Kristy Whitnell (finance). “We’ll have our first board meeting next Tuesday and start planning for what promises to be a huge year for the club, being our 125th year,” Baker said.
The positive vibe transferred to the track where strong numbers simultaneously attended the Eagles’ first pre-season training run.
