CRANBOURNE residents will have no excuse for being late after a giant floral clock is constructed on busy Sladen Street.
Casey Council has allocated $40,000 to the feature that will be established in the existing garden bed at the old shire offices.
The design, which was revealed at last week’s council meeting, includes a sixmetre electric clock face surrounded by a landscaped garden with bluestone bordering.
Construction of the clock is expected to be completed by the end of October or early November.
Mayfield Ward councillor Kevin Bradford said the unique feature would become another draw card for Cranbourne and add to the history of the area.
“It will certainly add to the beauty of the area and be a real talking point in Cranbourne,” he said.
