Abduction attempt

POLICE have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to an attempted abduction in Cranbourne North in January.
It has been alleged that a man tried to force a woman into his car while she was walking along Endeavour Drive about 3.30pm on Sunday 27 January.
Police said the man offered her a lift and when she refused he got out of his car, grabbed her backpack and shoved her towards his vehicle while yelling ‘get in the car’.
A struggle broke out and the woman scratched the man on his right arm before running away, police said.
The man is described as African in appearance, 203cm tall, with a slim build.
He was wearing a red shirt with ‘Miami Beach 1986’ printed in white, black Nike shorts and red runners.
He was driving a light blue Toyota Prius.
Police have released images of a man whom they believe may be able to assist them in their inquiries, and a vehicle similar to the one described.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report confidentially online at www.crimestoppers.com.au
