‘Nick’ sought over attack

POLICE have released an image of a man they want to speak with over a vicious attack at Flinders Street Station early this year.
Police believe that on Sunday, 7 January a 38-year-old man was socialising in a group on the steps of the station at 7.25am when a man struck up a conversation with the group.
When the 38-year-old asked him for a cigarette, the newcomer allegedly started kicking and punching him then stood on his neck.
The victim lost consciousness and had to be taken to hospital.
Police are now searching for a man believed to be in his early 20s with brown curly hair and a distinctive tribal tattoo on his left bicep.
Investigators believe his first name is “Nick” and that he has recently moved from Adelaide to live with his brother in the Cranbourne area.
An image has been released of a man police would like to speak with about the assault.
