TOORADIN and District Sports Club is kicking off the first of many live music events at the venue with a performance from the Pierce Brothers this Sunday.
The Pierce Brothers are a folk, roots and indie pop duo made up of Melbourne identical twins Jack and Patrick Pierce.
The brothers have been establishing themselves as artists to watch on the Australian music scene, bringing a natural and vibrant energy to the stage.
It’s that combination that has successfully earned them a place supporting the likes of Blue King Brown, The Beautiful Girls, Carus Thompson and Ash Grunwald.
Ricky Holland, from the Tooradin Sports Club, urged people to come along this Sunday.
“With a stack of new recordings, videos and a big summer of touring lined up for the Melbourne twins, it would be a shame not to check out this fresh new talent,” he said.
Mr Holland said he hoped the Sunday live music sessions would become a monthly event at the sports club, and introduced on Saturday nights as well based on support and popularity.
“Our area is starved of good live entertainment,” he said.
“I want people to support good live music, original music, not some hack cover band or computer DJ but real music with real musicians.
“Support the launch to help make it a regular feature.”
The event will be free and will start at 2pm at the Tooradin and District Sports Club, 62 South Gippsland Highway, Tooradin.
