Crowds flock to a day with the lot

THOUSANDS of Casey residents celebrated Australia Day on Saturday with a range of activities in Hampton Park.
The Australia Day-Day of Nations was hosted by The Hampton Park Progress Association, supported by the City of Casey. People young and old enjoyed an Aussie breakfast, multicultural entertainment, face painting, jumping castles, animal farm, show cars, motorbikes, community displays and much more.
Holt MP Anthony Byrne also handed out 17 2013 Holt Australia Day Awards to people and organisations who contributed their time and energy to do valuable volunteer work.
The Hampton Park recipients were:Daryl Bowman, Joe De Groot, Joseph De Souza, Doug Dobson, Frank Johnson, Joyce Kellett, Tess and Mairi-Anne Macartney, Lauris McInerney, Dale McInnes, Margaret O’Callaghan, Vishnu and Margaret Prasad, John Richardson JP, Dani Rothwell, Prakash Samuel, Roselyn Simmadri, Mahbooba Tahsin and the Carols by Twilight Committee.
