All eyes on Santa

NEIGHBOURHOOD Watch (NHW) Casey spread Christmas cheer and a safety message at its family Christmas party last month.
The organisation held its family night at the Balla Balla Communtiy Centre on Wednesday 28 November.
The night was opened and compered by the Casey’s own Lady Uppity Crust who added a touch of class to the evening’s proceedings.
The night was then officially declared open by NHW Victoria state manager Gill Metz.
David Hewitt, from NHW Casey, said a highlight of the night was a special visit from Santa.
“Santa’s arrival was greeted with enthusiasm from all the participants and added to the festive occasion,” he said.
“He answered the many questions from the children, and adults, some easy and some tricky.
“After the questions Santa handed out gifts for the children and then made a fond farewell.”
Mr Hewitt said the night then took a more serious turn.
“Then there was an important fire safety demonstration and information session from fireman Daniel from the CFA on ‘Keeping your Family Fire Safe at Christmas’.
“Everyone there enjoyed the evening and they are looking forward to the next event organised by NHW Casey,” he said.
