POLICE are on the hunt for a rapist who attacked his victim in daylight in Cranbourne.
An 18-year-old Cranbourne woman was raped last Thursday, 5 April at about 4.30pm.
She was walking along a walking track about 500 metres north of Cranbourne Railway Station near the Camms Road railway crossing when she was attacked.
The man was seen running south towards Camms Road. He was described as about 20 years old, Caucasian, with brown hair and wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.
Police said the rape happened near the laneway leading down to the railway line backing onto fences and asked anyone who may have heard screams or a struggle to contact police immediately.
