New Casey dole projects to work

NEW Work for the Dole programs are helping to create employment opportunities throughout Casey’s south, according to Flinders MP Greg Hunt.
Unemployed people in the region would benefit from new projects designed to get them out of the home and back into the workforce, he said.
“Work for the Dole participants are helping to deliver new services to the local community of Cranbourne that will bring benefits to the community and help local job seekers develop new skills to improve their employment prospects,” he said.
Mr Hunt said the new projects included work opportunities at Lady Gowrie Child Care in Cranbourne, Australian Education Industry Centre in Cranbourne East and Tooradin, Avocare Limited in Pearcedale and the RSPCA Peninsula Animal Aid in Pearcedale.
“The Cranbourne projects are part of nine new projects for the Flinders electorate,” Mr Hunt said.
“This is an excellent outcome that will help deliver real ontheground outcomes for the local community while also helping job seekers build selfesteem and develop practical skills and experience to help them find meaningful employment.”
Mr Hunt said Work for the Dole participants made a positive contribution to society and congratulated the local community for proposing the new projects.
“They are doing a great job in bringing benefits to both local unemployed people and to local communities in Flinders,” he said.
