Car stolen, set alight

A CAR was found ablaze in Cranbourne last week.
The dark blue 1998 Kia Mentor was reported stolen from a property outside Cashmere Drive, Berwick, on Sunday, 18 February at 6.30pm.
It was then found in flames at 11pm at the intersection of Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive.
Police said a jerry can and paint were found inside the car and believed the items were used to set fire to the car.
The car was valued at $7000.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the officer in charge at Cranbourne Uniform on 5991 0600.
