THE biggest crowd ever turned up to catch the action at the annual Cranbourne Rodeo Spectacular and Country Festival on the weekend.
Organisers were celebrating this week after another successful event, tipped by some as the biggest in the country.
Shaun Mathrick, who started up the event, said despite the large crowd, estimated at about 15,000, people were very well behaved and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
“It was a really good atmosphere. All the feedback so far has been really good,” he said.
The carnival, rodeo and bands made sure there was something for everyone on Saturday and Sunday.
And people of all ages turned up to see their favourite event.
“The rodeo is really good for the area,” Mr Mathrick said. “Nothing happens here. We need to change that.”
He said they would begin planning next year’s event next week.
