Marnebek students get a special treat

CHILDREN with special needs are set to benefit from a partnership between Marnebek School and Bunnings Cranbourne.
The project will see improved playing areas and learning centres throughout the school and is an initiative of the Cranbourne Community Plan (CCP) project.
City of Casey city living manager Richard Amon said the CCP was an important way of helping guide the future growth and development of Cranbourne.
“Encouraging culturally rich communities is one of the key aims of the project, and this partnership between education and industry will help deliver this aim by raising awareness and support for children with special needs,” he said.
Mr Amon said it was a credit to the project partners Bunnings Cranbourne and Marnebek School for their enthusiasm in taking part in the CCP project.
“Bunnings Cranbourne has offered to provide skills and resources to Marnebek to redesign and renovate the school’s shade areas and sand pit playing areas. Integral to the project will be the involvement of the Marnebek students in many of the works undertaken.”
Mr Amon said the Cranbourne Community Planning team was looking forward to the redevelopment works starting at the school in the coming months.
