IT was a fiery morning at Cranbourne Library last Friday as children turned up to learn about all things dragon.
The library’s school holiday program kicked off last week with a special Dreaming of Dragons story time and activity session.
Children up to the age of six listened to dragon stories, coloured in a dragon to take home and put scales on a big dragon on the wall.
The large dragon picture is now taking pride of place in the library’s meeting room.
Library officer Julie Born said the kids had a ball, with nearly 20 kids turning out to take part in the activities.
She said the children particularly enjoyed a story about a dragon that blew bubbles instead of fire.
“The kids seemed to like that. The dragon wasn’t nearly as scary,” she said.
