RIVER Gum Ward councillor Wayne Smith has presented the Hampton Park Fire Brigade with a cheque for $550.
Cr Smith made the presentation during a mayoral reception for community volunteers at Amstel Golf Club, Cranbourne, on Thursday 1 September.
Cr Smith has expressed concern that too many CFA volunteers had to pay for brigade needs out of their own pockets.
“The money came from council ward funds and will assist members with the provision of things such as uniform and training,” he said.
