CHRISTMAS has come early for 18 not-for-profit community groups in Cranbourne.
The groups were recently announced as the recipients of the 2006 Hunt Club Community Fund.
Each of the community groups was presented with a certificate and will receive a cheque for either $500 or $1000 to be used for activities that will benefit the Cranbourne community.
Terry Dooling, Hunt Club development manager, said it was difficult choosing the funding recipients among all the entries and he looked forward to seeing how they used their grant.
“These groups are currently making an outstanding contribution to the local community and we hope that with this extra funding they will be able to further continue their efforts,” Mr Dooling said.
