Mulch blocks traffic

MULCH blocked a Cranbourne East road on Monday after the trailer on a truck overturned during a U-turn.
Senior Constable Glenn Dunn from Cranbourne Police said the Bark King truck was turning on the South Gippsland Highway when the trailer tipped over near Ballarto Road.
It took a couple of hours to clear the scene.
The load of bark first needed to be transferred to another truck using a bobcat scoop before the trailer could be brought back upright.
Sen Const Dunn said it was not clear whether the load had shifted causing the truck to overturn.
He said no one was hurt in the incident and no other cars were involved.
The driver of the truck was shaken but unharmed as the front part of the truck stayed upright.
The incident happened about 4pm on Monday, blocking north and southbound traffic.
