THE Labor Party has committed:
– $5 million to buy back commercial net fishing licences in Western Port and create a recreational fishing haven;
– Stage 1 modernisation of Elisabeth Murdoch College, Langwarrin, which serves some students in Cranbourne South and Pearcedale;
– Galvanised pontoon for Blind Bight boat owners, worth $20,000; and
– Alterations to Tooradin’s foreshore boat ramp, worth $13,000.

The Liberal Party has committed to:
– Conduct feasibility studies into reticulating natural gas to areas including Cranbourne South, Devon Meadows, Fiveways, Tooradin, Cannons Creek, Blind Bight, Warneet and areas of Langwarrin;
– Completing the sealing of Mancks Road, Clyde, and minimalist sealing of Rutherford Parade, Warneet;
– Securing of the doctor and pharmacy at Tooradin to serve the needs of the coastal villages;
– A bulk-billing medical centre for Hastings; and
– Full duplication of Western Port Highway.
