POLICE are looking into what caused a truck carrying seven square metres of concrete to roll over on Hunt Club Boulevard in Cranbourne yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
Senior Constable John Diamond of the Narre Warren Traffic Management Unit attended the scene of the incident, which occurred about 8.30am.
“The road was slightly obstructed and a crane had to be called to lift the truck back up,” he said. “It took until about 11.10am to get the truck back on its four wheels.”
Sen Const Diamond said police were still unsure about how the incident had occurred.
“We are not sure if it happened when he (the driver) was negotiating a bend,” he said. “Some independent witnesses say the driver was not going fast – about 40 or 45 kilometres.
“But the matter will be investigated,” Sen Const Diamond said.
The driver was taken to Dandenong Hospital with minor injuries.
