Free meals draw a crowd

CRANBOURNE’S successful community kitchen is off on a roll.
The third event has been announced for next week, cementing the kitchen as a regular spot on the Cranbourne calendar.
Organisers were overwhelmed by the last event, held on 26 September when 250 meals were served.
Organisers had to order pizzas on top of the cooked roast to meet demand.
Organisers expect an even bigger turnout this time.
The kitchen will be held on Thursday, 9 November from 5.30pm to 8pm at the William Angliss – Casey Café.
The café is located at 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East.
The meals are free and offered to those in need, with the café seating as many as 80 patrons. For more information call 5996 2901.
