Would-be burglar chased off

A WITNESS confronted a would-be burglar in Cranbourne on Sunday, causing the man to flee.
A man was seen trying to force the locked front door of a house in Virginia Street with a crowbar.
The witness confronted the man when he saw him at about 1.40am on Sunday.
Police said a scuffle took place in the front driveway before the offender fled on foot through nearby parkland.
The offender was described as Caucasian, about 183 centimetres tall and wearing a black beanie, black jumper with USA Athletics written on the front, and blue jeans.
