POLICE are searching for a man who roamed a Hampton Park primary school stealing things while the children were in class.
The man entered River Gum Primary School, which is partly under construction, via a construction work site at about 2.30pm on Friday, 25 August.
Police said the man opened a locker and stole a student’s wallet, which was later found discarded in the toilets.
A Sony PlayStation 2 and assorted games also went missing.
The man was having a cigarette in one of the toilet blocks when a student discovered him.
He then fled the school.
Police are looking for a Caucasian man in his late 20s with a blond crew cut, clean-shaven with acne and wearing khaki trousers and a grey shirt.
Police said the man was described as “surfie looking”.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Senior Constable Ed Keon-Cohen at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0600 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
