Week of school treats

IT WAS a week of celebration at Tooradin Primary School last week.
Students spent a day in their pyjamas, another day dressed as book characters and another day having their grandparents visit.
The activities were part of Literacy and Numeracy Week, with the school running a PJ day last Wednesday.
Students also brought in their favourite bedtime story and a soft toy to share with their peers.
Some grades went to the effort of dressing up as book characters.
Then in the afternoon the grades enthusiastically read their favourite stories to their buddy grades.
Last Thursday it was Grandparent’s Day, with nans and pops turning up to experience a day at school with their grandchildren.
The children wrote invitations to their grandparents inviting them to the day and then prepared special treats for morning tea.
Grandparents were then able to see the activities the students took part in at school and join in the fun.
