Free tour of city’s sights

RESIDENTS are invited to hop aboard the City of Casey’s Community Bus Tour and get to know the city’s attractions in a fun and relaxed tour.
Six free tours have been scheduled for 20052006 and offer residents the opportunity to enjoy a scenic tour of Casey.
The tours will travel across the municipality, from the foothills of the Dandenongs in the north to the picturesque coastal hamlets along Western Port and also Casey’s fastest growing suburban areas and the semirural parts of the city.
Casey’s director of community services Jennie Lee said the tours provide a great opportunity to learn about the historic and significant local sites in Casey for longterm and new residents.
“The tours are designed to give people the chance to be tourists within their own local community and find out more about the area in which they live,” she said.
Other features of the tour will include The Old Cheese Factory, Wilson Botanic Park, Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne, Myuna Farm, Tooradin’s Fisherman’s Cottage, Cranbourne Racetrack and Edwin Flack Reserve.
