CASEY residents are invited to shop up a storm to raise money to give cats a second chance a life.
The 2nd Chance Cat Rescue in Hampton Park is holding a shopping tour next month to raise money for their organisation.
The charity is run solely by volunteers and works to rehome abandoned, stray and feral kittens and cats in need of a home.
Daniela Maslen, who runs the organisation, encouraged people to come along to their fundraiser to ensure they can continue their good work.
“The purpose of this fundraiser is to purchase some large cat cages so that when we have sick cats they can be contained and separated from the healthy cats so that they don’t spread their illness or accidently pull out stitches,” she said.
The shopping tour will be held on Saturday 12 October and will visit a range of home wares, linen, clothing, shoes, books, sportswear and handbags factory outlets.
A bus will leave from Berwick at 7.40am, with another pickup in Fitzroy at 8.40am.
Cost is $50 per person, with confirmation and payment needed by Sunday 29 September.
