THERE is a simple answer for tackling the increased drive offs from fuel outlets.
Prepayment for fuel is the solution and this is going to cost the fuel retail industry an initial outlay of money to enable all fuel pumps to receive credit/debit cards and those paying by cash will need to pay at the counter.
Last year I travelled the USA for seven weeks and every state has prepayment for fuel and it is not an issue for motorists.
