Multiple Covid cases in Casey

Two Covid-19 exposure times have been identified in Cranbourne North.

Both exposure sites are at Courtenay Gardens Primary School, located at 35 Rosebank Drive, Cranbourne North.

The exposure periods at Tuesday 31 August from 9am-3.40pm, and Wednesday 1 September, 9am-3.40pm.

Both times are classified as tier 1 exposure sites – meaning anyone who has visited this location during these times must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from the exposure.

In the 24 hours to Sunday 5 September, Casey recorded four new cases of Covid-19.

It brings Casey’s total number of active Covid cases to 23.

Nearby, Greater Dandenong currently has five active cases, and Cardinia has three.

Postcode 3977 – comprising the suburbs of Botanic Ridge, Cannons Creek, Cranbourne, Cranbourne East, North, South and West, Devon Meadows, Junction Village, Sandhurst and Skye – has seven active Covid cases.

There are also seven active cases in postcode 3976 (Hampton Park) and seven in postcode 3802 (Endeavour Hills).

Postcode 3980 – covering Blind Bight, Tooradin and Warneet – has one active Covid case.

The Department of Health also lists a further two active cases in postcode 3805 (Narre Warren and Narre Warren South).

Residents are reminded to get tested at the earliest onset of symptoms. Symptoms of Covid-19 include fever, dry cough, tiredness, sore throat, headache and loss of taste and smell.

Testing sites are located across the City of Casey, including a walk-in site at Akoonah Park and drive-through at Casey Fields.
