The driver was bailed to appear in court later this year.

Cardinia Highway Patrol officers and the Southern Division 3 Response Unit arrested a 19-year-old man over the weekend following an investigation into high risk driving in Pakenham.

The incident occurred on the Princes Highway on 30 November last year.

It is alleged the hoon driver was driving erratically with a passenger hanging out of the sunroof, causing other motorists to pull over due to smoke over both lanes.

Investigators arrested the man and executed a warrant at a Cranbourne North residence on Friday 23 July and seized the vehicle.

The Cranbourne North man has been charged with 13 offences including reckless conduct endanger life, reckless conduct endanger serious injury, criminal damage and drive vehicle causing loss of traction.

He has been bailed to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 22 December.

The investigation remains ongoing and is part of Operation Achilles targeting high-risk driving.
