It’s time to snap up a bargain as Warneet-Blind Bight fire brigade gets ready for its 13th annual Mega Community Garage Sale in October.

It’s estimated more than 50 households will participate in this year’s event on Saturday 19 October where they’ll host their own garage sales while helping raise money for the brigade.

Brigade members will also be at the Blind Bight Community Centre car park selling bacon and egg rolls, car boot sales, raffle, coffee van and a community safety table with interactive activities.

A sausage sizzle and raffle will be held at the brigade. All money raised will go towards the operational needs of the brigade – with hopes of topping the $1,200 raised last year.

People wishing to visit garage sales on the day, which starts at 8am, may collect a map with addresses from the brigade for a gold coin donation.

“The brigade would like to thank all participants’ for their continued support of this event,” brigade secretary Debra Sevastianov said.

Registration forms will be delivered from early October with a $15 registration fee required no later than 16 October.

Residents are encouraged to register with the brigade by calling 5998 7146 or email: warneetbbfirebrigade@gmail.com or via the Facebook page: Warneet- Blind Bight CFA.
