Dog attack treated as ‘minor’

Casey Council is investigating a dog attack that allegedly involved a Siberian husky and another dog earlier this month in Cranbourne.

“Council did not seize the dog, however the officer who attended obtained details from the victim and also undertook a comprehensive inspection of the property on which the alleged incident occurred,” Casey manager of safer communities Caroline Bell said.

“At this stage this is considered a ‘minor’ attack due to the nature of the injuries to both the victim and her dog, and, as the incident occurred on the property of the second dog, it is unlikely that further action will be taken by Council. However, this will be determined on completion of the investigation.”
