Firefighters are on scene at a property in Pearcedale after a fire broke out in a shed on Monday 11 February.

Fire crews received reports of the blaze on Pearcedale Road about 12.30pm which was contained just before 1pm.

Eleven fire appliances from Somerville, Langwarrin, Cranbourne, Pearcedale, Baxter, Warneet, Frankston, and Tyabb have attended.

Firefighters are expected to be on scene for several hours to extinguish all hot spots. The shed was about 10 metres by 10 metres in size.

VicEmergency has sent an advice message for Cranbourne South, Langwarrin, Langwarrin South, and Pearcedale areas.

“Keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond,” the message said.

“To prevent the smell of smoke entering your home or business you should close windows and doors.”
