They’re the volunteers that are the backbone of the Smith Family.

Cranbourne View Club (Voice Interest and Education of Women) are hoping to enlist more volunteers to its group and have their voices heard on issues of importance in Australian society.

Members enjoy directly helping children and young people in need reach their potential through education, says committee member Gwyn Allan.

“We have been meeting for seven years and have approximately 40 members and currently support eight students as children are the future and the more we can help the better,” she said.

“We would love to see new members join us where many friendships are formed while helping the Smith Family.

“As well as helping the children it is a great way for women to come together and make new friends,” said Ms Allan.

The group, which is only made up of women members, meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the Amstel Club in Cranbourne for their monthly meeting which includes lunch and a guest speaker who can be from many walks of life.
