Cleaner scares off would-be robber

POLICE are searching for a man who broke into the Cranbourne Centro shopping centre at night before fleeing when he was disturbed by a cleaner.
The man broke into the High Street shopping centre between 12.45am and 12.55am on Saturday 2 January and tried to get into the Vodafone store but ran away when he saw a cleaner.
The man had parked a van on the shopping centre roof before jemmying the nearby sliding doors to get inside and travelling down an escalator.
Police have released CCTV images of the van.
