YOUTH GIRLS
BEACONSFIELD has shrugged off strong winds and a determined Cranbourne outfit to be crowned Youth Girls Champions with a 20-point win at Casey Fields.
“Fantastic – just proud of the girls, they’ve worked hard all this year and the result has paid off for them,” Beaconsfield coach Troy Robinson said.
With the one-two combo of Karly Tapner (2 goals) and Lauren Hojnacki (1 goal) up forward giving Beaconsfield something to kick towards, the Cranbourne defence struggled to contain and repel.
Beaconsfield’s Katie Angelis starred as she roamed defensively through the second term – picking up a number of defensive marks to rebound out of Cranbourne’s half.
TIER 2
HAMPTON Park’s miracle run from second last to second-tier Youth Girls’ premiers was completed on Sunday with a resounding 33-point win over Officer Kangaroos.
Grace McInroy-Howard (3 goals), Tarryn Hart and state representative Emily Browning kicked the Redbacks into an insurmountable lead as Hampton Park drilled two in the third term and a match-winning trio in the last.

PREMIER AND UNDER 15
THREE premierships in a row highlight the talent of Beaconsfield, with the Premier 1 Eagles downing Noble Park in a grand-final epic.
“They’ve come a long way,” Beaconsfield coach Derrick Brown said. “I’m absolutely rapt for them.”
Fraser McGill was Beaconsfield’s best in the 33-point victory.
PREMIER 2
The come-from-behind effort of Endeavour Hills stole a five-point victory from the grasp of Narre Warren. From 20 points down, the Eagles soared through Jordan Stewart (3 goals), Scott Myers (3 goals) and Lachlan Cummins (2 goals) to claim victory. Narre Warren’s Brayden Murray was best-on-ground medallist in a starring performance.
UNDER-15
Narre Warren had to run over the top of Cranbourne to claim a 6.8 (44) to 4.11 (35) triumph. Trailing by 11 points at the final change, Narre Warren went on a goal-spree to kick five and leave the Eagles in their wake. Hayden Brough (3 goals) kicked truly for the Magpies to push them ahead.

UNDER 14
STRIDING out onto a VFL oval, hopefully not for the last time in their careers, Beaconsfield and Narre South Lions took to the expanse of Casey Fields with aplomb.
The Under-14 Division 1 showdown went Beaconsfield’s way – as the Eagles soared to a 14.10 (94) to 6.8 (44) Division 1 victory. Riley Boland stole the show with six goals and a best-on-ground medallion to go with the Eagles’ premiership triumph.
Endeavour Hills farewelled multiple league best-and-fairest Logan O’Connell-Webb from the boys’ ranks of junior football as she and her Eagles soared to a 25-point Division 2 win at Holm Park Reserve. The Eagles sprayed their chances – booting 7.10 – but it was enough to overcome a dogged Narre Warren. Dion Elefantis rose to the occasion most and was duly rewarded with the medal.
Pakenham’s first premiership came from the under-14 Division 3 ranks as the Lions claimed a 9.4 (58) to 8.3 (51) win over Narre South. Nathan Thomas (3 goals) and Sid D’Cruz (2 goals) were best-on-ground for Narre South (no Pakenham results available). D’Cruz was given the medal for his starring efforts despite Narre South’s narrow defeat.
