Success grows for fresh food market

The Berwick Farmers Market is growing in size, value and contribution to farmers and the community.
The Christmas Twilight market in December attracted a huge crowd of shoppers and more than 300 children who delighted in the gifts, jumping castle and face painting.
There was a full complement of stall holders who made a great effort to package goods and keep up the supply of fresh produce.
Customers were delighted with the event and kept telling organisers that they will continue to come to the market because “the Old Cheese Factory markets always have fresh and high quality produce”.
This year the market will continue the established standard.
There are now more than 50 stallholders who aim to provide the best quality goods to meet customers’ tastes and needs.
The market this month will offer a very wide range of fruit and vegetable products.
There will be keen competition in the offerings of seasonal fruit.
Cherries, blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries are currently at their very best.
The good weather has seen the outstanding production of high quality vegetables.
Customers can be sure to get the best selection at a fair price.
The market offers a very wide range of products with which customers can build outstanding fresh meals.

Dan and Cath Drougas can supply families with first quality meat products including all cuts of beef and lamb or a full roast.

Long-term stallholders Dianne and Ron Moore of Labertouche Farm are the source of outstanding free range eggs.
