PAINT a Pot Narre Warren cleaned up at the Royal Melbourne Show recently.
A number of staff and students from the Narre Warren business took out awards at the show, including the owner Anna St Clair who won four herself.
Ms St Clair won Best Exhibit in the ceramics section, as well as another first, a second and a highly commended in three other craft and ceramic categories.
Staff member Henrietta St Clair won third place in the glazed craft and ceramics competition.
Children who attend the centre’s Thursday art classes also entered pieces and had some success.
In the junior ceramics section, Jessica Halmos came second, Chloe Bayliss third and Sienna Vulin got highly commended.
Tyler Kirkpatrick also received a commended recognition in the junior glazed section.
Ms St Clair said she was very proud of the businesses success.
“Considering that there were thousands of entries from all across Australia, for Narre Warren to gain so many awards is a fab achievement,” she said.
“All are, of course, regulars at the centre and I am delighted with their and our success.”
Ms St Clair said her best exhibit piece will now go up for auction to raise money for charity.
“When I produce an artwork it is generally snapped up by a customer,” she said.
“The winning piece has been allocated for auction at a charity dinner for human trafficking and the fact that it won will generate a lot more money for this worthwhile cause.”
