Golf club’s brand win

THE smooth-swinging members of the Cranbourne Golf Club are celebrating two big wins at the Clubs Victoria – Awards for Excellence this week.
The club won the Golf Club of the Year award and took out the Club Branding of the Year category at the awards ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt on Sunday.
Cranbourne Golf Club general manager Peter Paccagnan said winning the awards, combined with a rating as one of the top 70 golf courses in the country, reinforced a strong membership offering and professional approach towards all things golf.
“Cranbourne Golf Club continues to build on the platform that has positioned it so well for the past 58 years, and will continue to strive for excellence in the future,” he said.
“The Golf Club of the Year award is based on the quality of course, facilities and service provided, as well as competitions, events and initiatives developed by the club.
“The course itself has been receiving fantastic praise from members and visitors alike for a long time now, and with this component being a large part of this award, it is further endorsement of the work put in by course manager Barry Proctor and his team.”
Mr Paccagnan said he was also elated to accept the first award for a new category this year, the Club Branding of the Year.
“The branding award is the result of the work that has gone into revamping the club’s logo, stationary and imagery, and use of these throughout the club’s premises and its communications,” he said.
“This success has been achieved through consistent adherence to the club’s brand style guide, which was developed to achieve this exact outcome – recognition and identification of the Cranbourne Golf Club through quality visual resources.
“This award also recognises the club’s clever marketing initiatives, as well as its ability to embrace social media as a means of keeping members informed.”
Clubs Victoria is the peak industry body for the Community Club sector, and was established over 95 years ago to represent the needs of the Victorian Club network.
The annual Awards for Excellence are given to those clubs that have achieved high standards in specific categories, setting the benchmark for others to strive for.
