POLICE have arrested a man who had hydroponic house set up in Cranbourne North with more than 470 cannabis plants.
Police said the 17-year-old Vietnamese male had all eight rooms of the Waverley Park Drive home, including the bedroom and bathrooms, set up with “sophisticated hydroponics set up” containing plants from seedlings to mature.
The house was used solely for cultivating cannabis and was inhabitable.
The man from Oakley South, who was in the country on a student visa, was arrested and remanded in custody on Thursday 20 October at 3.15pm, to appear in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
