HANDCRAFTS, Tai Chi, psychic awareness and art are just some of the classes offered to seniors by the Cranbourne U3A this month.
The U3A, University of the Third Age, is a community non-profit organisation, which started locally in 2005. The Third Age refers the age of active retirement, and U3A caters to those who have increased leisure and would like to learn new skills, and meet and work with stimulating and interesting people.
Volunteers teach the classes, which include calligraphy, book group, computers, folk art, cardmaking, beading, languages and more.
The classes, which are run between 10am and 3pm every weekday, are held at the Casey Indoor Leisure Centre in Cranbourne.
