STUDENTS at Tooradin Primary School worked up a sweat while raising funds for the heart foundation.
Students sought sponsorship for three weeks prior to the school’s jump rope for heart program. Students, their parents and friends were placed in groups, and rotated through a series of skipping exercises.
“Some of the activities they participated in were skipping relays, long rope skipping, partner skipping, group skipping and skipping to music,” PE teacher Nathan Power said.
“The children enjoyed these activities as well as received the benefit of exercise.”
