STUDENTS at Kilberry Valley Primary School tried their hands at some ingenious experiments at a whole school science day.
The kids took part in a variety of activities – freezing and melting, underwater volcanoes, bubblearium, jet rockets and hovercrafts, slime, lava lamps and digital microscope experiments.
Principal Jan White said the children were grouped so that the younger and older students could meet and work with kids they would not normally know.
“There was a real buzz around the school as children moved from activity to activity. I was very proud of our older children who acted in a responsible manner towards the littlies,” Mrs White said.
Science team leader Christine Turner, who organised the day, said it was a huge success and the kids had a great time, which she said was great to see.
